Helambu Trekking is one another popular trekking trail in the Langtang region, situated at north-east of Kathmandu. This trekking is famous for its scenic views of unique landscapes, Buddhist Monasteries amidst with dense Rhododendron forest and local traditional culture. This trekking is considered to be relatively low altitude and a short trek, because, visitors will trek mostly at the lowest altitude 3000m and the highest point is Tharepati La pass (3600m). Helambu trekking is one of the most convenient and short treks lying close to Kathmandu. While trekking in Helambu area, one has an opportunity to explore the ancient villages of various ethnic groups, scenic views of the mountains namely Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Langshisa Ri, Gangchenpo, Yala peak, Naya kanga, Annapurna Himalaya range and enjoy with the cultural blend of Tibetan Sherpa. Langtang Helambu trekking includes the trip to the remote and spectacular valley of the region and the high mountain lake known as holy Gosainkund.
Helambu TrekkingThere are two options to have trekking in the Helambu region, one route beginning either from Sundarijal, some two-hour drive from downtown in Kathmandu valley or another route is beginning from Syabru Bensi, which is seven/eight hour drive from Kathmandu. Either that be from Sundarijal or Syabrubesi, the trekking then continue through larch and rhododendron forests and holy lake Gosaikunda finally reaches to Helambu. After making excursion to the area and enjoying the cultural blend of diverse ethnic people residing in the area, you will return to the place called Chisapani and then return back to Kathmandu.

Day 02 :Drive to Sundarijal (1300m) and Trek to Chisopani (2140m)
Day 03 :Trek to Kutumsang (2450m)
Day 04 :Trek to TharePati (3640m)
Day 05 :Trek to Tarke Gyang (2590m)
Day 06 :Trek to Sermathang (2610m)
Day 07 :Trek to Melamchi( 1846m) and drive back to Kathmandu.
