Kanchenjunga south base camp trekking is one another popular destinations in Kanchenjunga region. Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586 m), the third highest mountain in the world is one the unspoiled trekking trails in eastern part of Nepal in the border of Nepal and Sikkim (India). The trekking to the south base camp offers varieties of landscapes, cultures and panoramic views of four highest mountains including Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Kanchenjunga .

Kanchenjunga North South Base Camp Trekking The trekking to Kanchenjunga south base camp begins with direct flight from Kathmandu Suketar, then the trekking continues to Phurumba and heads up to Chirwa, Sikathum, Ajilasa, Ghympla and finally reach at Gunsa, where you will have rest for acclimatization, once you are ready, then the trekking continues to Selele base camp (4200 m), you will proceed to Tseram, Ramche (4500m) and finally reach at Oktang, the south base camps of Kanchenjunga then exploring the area, you will descend down to Tseram and Amji Khola, Tharturawa, Khande Bhanjyang and finally reach at Suketar and fly back to Nepalgunj and subsequently to Kathmandu.



Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01 :Arrival in Kathmandu Airport welcome by Adventure Bound members than transfer to Hotel

Day 02 :Trek preparation, Please note that you need to be in Kathmandu at least one day in advance as we could only issue the special permit while we have your original passport.

Day 03 :Kathmandu to Biratnagar by flight again by bus to Taplejung (1441m) 9- 10 hrs

Day 04 :Suketar to Kunjari (1,928m) 6- 7 hrs

Day 05 :Kunjari to Mamangkhe (1,920m) 6- 7 hrs

Day 06 :Mamangkhe to Yamphudin (2,080m) 5-6 hrs

Day 07 :Yamphudin to Amjekhola (2,460m) 6-7 hrs

Day 08 :Amjekhola to Toronde (2890m) 5-6hrs

Day 09 :Toronde to Tserma (3,870m) 5 -6hrs

Day 10 :Tserma to Ramche (4,580m) 6-7 hrs

Day 11 :Ramche to Yalung Base camp (5,400m) 6-7hrs

Day 12 :Yalung Base camp to Ramche (4,580m) 5-6 hrs

day 13 :Ramche to Toronde (2,890m) 7 -8hrs

Day 14 :Toronde to Amjekhola (2,460m) 6-7 hrs

Cost Exclude

  • International airfare to and from Kathmandu.
  • Nepal entry visa you can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. (A multiple-entry tourist visa good for 30 days can be obtained by paying US $ 40 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, multiple-entry tourist visas for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100. Please bring 2 copies of passport-size photos and cash for visa.)
  • Your travel and rescue insurance (compulsory).
  • Personal expenses (Wifi (if any), laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra porters, bottle or boiled water, shower etc).
  • Extra hotel stays and meals due to unforeseeable circumstances, such as flight cancellations/delays, bad weather conditions etc,
