About Langtang Gosaikunda Trek

Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking is a combine trip of three popular trekking destinations of the Langtang region. The trek is adorable for the sceneries it offers and a chance to experience the ethnic culture and hospitality. The Langtang valley and Kyanjin Gompa, the Lakes around Gosaikunda and the  culturally loaded Helambu make you feel the unique and awesome trekking experience in Nepal.

The outstanding foothill excursion in the Langtang circuit trekking route begins with an exploration of the Langtang valley, which is a place densely populated by the Tibetan Buddhist devotees. Tamang culture and hospitality can be experienced there. As a side trip from Kyanjin let you encounter with the stunning white peaks as Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak and others. Escorting to the Gosaikunda Lake, you can enjoy the sceneries of the glacial Lakes, Himalayan white peaks and the alpine altitude. Gosaikunda Lake is a significant Lake in the Hindu mythologies and people pay their homage. The Lakes and Himalayan exposures are brilliant to have a cozy session in the Langtang, including of Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and the Annapurna massif. The trek includes a challenging high pass- Lauribina Pass (4610 meters) that adds further adventure on the trip and exploring the outstanding ethnic villages on the Helambu trail, it concludes at Sundarijal, walking through the Shivapuri National Park.

Itinerary

Welcome to Nepal. You will be greeted by the representative of Adventure Bound Nepal and transferred to the hotel. In the evening, we give you a short briefing about the trip overview. Overnight at hotel.  

    We drive to Syaphrubesi from Kathmandu in the morning. The beautiful countryside, streams and the Himalayan views can be seen while driving. Passing the Trishuli Bazaar, we reach to Syaphrubesi, the gateway of Langtang treks. Overnight at lodge.

      After the breakfast, we begin our first day excursion through the Langtang Khola River bank. Walking up and down and through the forest, we climb up to the Lama Hotel, which is located on the bank of the Langtang Khola River. Overnight at the lodge.

        From Lama Hotel, we commence our journey after the breakfast. Walking through the picturesque rhododendron forest, we ascend to the Langtang village via Ghoda Tabela. Langtang village is a traditionally settled densely populated ethnic village, who follow the Tibetan Buddhism. They have a unique culture and remarkable hospitality that you will experience during the trek. Overnight at lodge. 

          Following the trail through the grazing meadow, we begin to trek from the Langtang village. Some of the attractions of today's journey include the traditional stone huts, Mani stone walls and fluttering Buddhist prayer flags. Steadily, we reach to the Kyanjin village and take a rest. We can observe the evening prayer at the monastery and feel blessed. Overnight at lodge. 

            The wonderful exploration day at the Kyanjin Gompa can be spent as you wish. As an optional trip, we can hike to the Tserko Ri or to Langsisha Kharka and enjoy the Himalayan views of Mt. Langtang Lirung, Ghyanchhepo and the surrounding peaks. Back to Kyanjin and take a rest. Overnight at lodge.

              We go on observing the morning prayer at the Kyanjin Gompa. It is a spiritual center of the Tibetan Buddhists in the Langtang. After having breakfast, we trek down through the rhododendron forest, passing the suspension bridges and Tamang settlements, we steadily reach to the Lama Hotel. The trail is almost downhill. Overnight at lodge.

                We begin the trek from Lama Hotel with a continual descend to Thulo Syabru. Now, we are directed to the Gosaikunda Lake from the usual Langtang valley trail. The village is also dominated by the Tamang settlements, which is another place to explore the Tamang culture and hospitality. Overnight at lodge. 

                  A short walk today, we begin after the breakfast climbing the steep hill. Passing Dursagang, we proceed through the dense woods of hemlock and oak walking steadily to Foprang ridge. Then we gradually climb down to Sing Gompa and explore the Chandanbari. Overnight at lodge. 

                    After the breakfast at Sing Gomppa, we steadily walk up into the Cholang Pati and get the outstanding Himalayan views of Langtang Lirung and its range. Then we walk through the rhododendron forest and pine woods. The trail goes through the gradual uphill trail and reach to the viewpoint of a lake. Then we reach to the Gosaikunda Lake with a gradual walk. Overnight at lodge.

                      Exploring the exciting location around the Gosaikunda Lake, we can feel the spiritual joy. Gosaikunda Lake is a significant destination for the Hindu and Buddhist devotees to pay homage and a big fair held at the Janai Purnima festival. After the breakfast, we proceed towards the Lauribina Pass and steeply descend to the Phedi. Descending continually, we reach to Ghopte and with few ups and down, we reach ultimately to Tharepati. Overnight at lodge.

                        We cross over The Tharepati pass and descend steadily to Mangengoth. Trekking down, we encounter with the 25 meters water falls. Kutumsang is a wonderful village with manistones and caves. We walk through the Helambu trail now. The National Park office also lies there. Overnight at lodge. 

                          After the breakfast at Kutumsang, we gradually trek down to Gul Bhanjyang (2,130m). The trail is easy now and mostly it is a downhill walk. Via Chipling, we trek down to Pati Bhanjyang passing some Tamang villages that leads us to Chisapani after exploring the Gaurishanker range. Overnight at lodge. 

                            The trail begins trough the rhododendron forest and pass the Borlang Bhanjyang. Through the checkpoint of the Shivapuri National Park, we trek down to Mulkharka, which is a beautiful viewpoint. Then we gradually climb down to Sundarijal, a place with lots of waterfalls and a tiny hydroelectric project. From Sundarijal, we drive further to Kathmandu for about an hour and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at lodge. 

                              According to the time of your flight, our Airport representative drops you to the International Airport for your final departure. Thank you for joining us for your trekking in Nepal. See you again.
