Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek 18 Days is a once in a lifetime experience. It takes you through the serene and mystical environment of Manaslu Tsum Valley.

One of the members of our company will receive you from Tribhuvan International Airport. He/she will take you to your respective hotel where you rest for a while. There will be a briefing session in the company’s office before heading towards this 18 days trek of Manaslu Tsum Valley.

If there is time, later in the day you can roam around the local markets of Kathmandu. The company invites you for the welcome dinner in which you will enjoy the Nepali cuisine and cultural program.

    Before moving towards the Manaslu Tsum Valley trek, this is your leisure day. You will explore the inner core of the Kathmandu valley today, visiting local shops to UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

    Kathmandu valley is the cultural center of Nepal. It consists of Bhaktapur and Lalitpur district. Pashupatinath Temple is a major tourist attraction and a holy place for Hindu people. Swayambhunath is another tourist destination known as Monkey temple.

    You can visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square where you can see 55 windows palace, Nyatapola temple, etc. It is famous for pottery, curd (JuJu Dhau) and local authentic Newari food. Traverse around narrow streets of Bhaktapur and Kathmandu.

    Asan and Thamel are famous destinations for foreign tourists in Nepal. Local markets and Nightlife of this place are extraordinary. You can buy some extra trekking gear here.

      Today marks the departure for the trek, commencing with a drive from Kathmandu city en route to MachhaKhola and you have the option to travel by local bus or Jeep, depending on your preference. If you choose the Jeep, there will be an additional cost. The journey involves traversing the Kathmandu valley toward Dhading Besi, navigating through areas where road construction might pose challenges. Heading northwest, the route leads to Arughat, situated across the Budhi Gandaki River.

      From Arughat, the path advances to Sotikhola, with sections of gravel-lined roads. Progressing through Gurung and Magar villages, the trek proceeds to Soti Khola, culminating in the final leg toward MachhaKhola. The scenic journey offers captivating vistas of the Shringri Himal along the way.

      Today’s journey is full of narrow trails through the Budhi Gandaki River. From Machha Khola you will head towards Tharo Khola and reach Khorla Besi. Khorla Besi is a small but pretty Gurung settlement.

      A suspension bridge, tacking trails are common in this region but Khorlabesi also offers you the scenic beauty of Ganesh and its neighboring mountains. You will be hiking upstairs from this place crossing several suspension bridges and landslide zone.

      While en-route to Jagat, you will even walk on stone steps. This is the route where you enjoy the picturesque view of Shringi Himal, mani walls and Chortens that represents Himalayan culture. Overnight here at a local lodge.

        Jagat is the place where you have to show the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP). This day of trekking also follows the descending down towards Saguleri. Before moving ahead from Saguleri don’t forget to enjoy the salient view of Singri Himal 7187m.

        Moving through the deep gorge with great walls of rock on both sides you will reach Ghatte Khola and Philim, the Gurung village. You need to cross a long but simple hanging bridge to reach Philim. The valley starts widening from here.

        Philim is a beautiful village of Gurung people. It is a place where the Japanese made the schools and police stations. Chortens, mani walls, and Gompas are commonly seen all around this place. This 4 to 5 hours of the trek is one of the best moments of Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek 18 Days.

          Ekle Bhatti is not far since you start the trek from Chisopani. You will pass through gorge seeing the thundering waterfalls to enter pine forests. With frequent ups and downs, the scenic beauty of Buddha Himal will hypnotize you.

          Lokpa is the nearest destination after this long walk. With the continuous downhill trail for a few hours, you will reach Lungwa Khola. Walking through the forested region of Gumlung you will cross Siyar River. Only after 6 to 7 hours of trek you will reach the lower region of Tsum known as Chumling.

          Explore more of the Chumling by visiting Chumling Gompa and savor the majestic look of the Shringi Himal. You will spend your night at Chumling.

            After having proper breakfast at Chumling, it is necessary to move towards Chokangparo. You will be crossing the suspension bridge in order to reach the Chokangparo. Seeing the maize and potato fields you will move forward to enjoy the Ganesh Himal and Gompas.

            Within a few minutes, you will reach Gho village. The peculiar Ripchet settlement will amaze you through its immense Buckwheat, barley, maize, and potatoes fields. You will see the maximum houses are of stones with iron roofs. Far away on the cliffs of rocky mountains, you can see Tahr grazing around. Climbing 4 to 5 hours you will reach Chokangparo to enjoy the surreal view of Ganesh Himal 7140m and Himalchuli 7893m. Chokangparo is the place for your stay tonight.

              It will take you 5 to 6 hours to reach Nile from Chokangparo. As you move higher, the symptoms of altitude sickness can appear. Taking precautions and drinking a lot of water is the only option to tackle this problem at this height. You will direct yourself to the eastern side passing through small villages and local schools.

              To honor this place you will pause and enjoy the view. It is your way of thanking mother nature for everything. You will continue to climb over the ridge and pass through the Lama Gaon. Flat fields, a courtyard of Gompas, rivers, crops are the major attraction of this place.

              Rachen or Nunnery Gompa provides tremendous accommodation for Pilgrims. After a small visit, you will cross the Shiyar Khola passing hamlets of Phurbe 3251m. Chhule is the next destination and you will reach there after a few hours. Through a few upstairs and crossing the bridge, you will arrive at the Nile and stay here.

                This trek will take you near the Tibetan border. Mesmerizing experience of Tibetan culture and landscape will hit you even after the end of the tour. Walking through the west of the valley you will reach Mu Gompa.

                Along with Longnang glacier, yak pastures are all around this place. If you want to explore the higher lands you can visit Dhephu Doma Gompa. After this visit, you can trek back to Mu Gompa to explore more of a wild cliff towards the north. Mu Gompa lies at the remote part of the region which is also the largest monastery.

                Enjoying the brilliant view of Himalchuli and Ganesh Himal you will stay here tonight. It is a journey of 3 hours.

                  You cannot explore the beauty of Mu Gompa in one day, this additional day is for exploring the surrounding of the Mu Gompa too. Mu Gompa has the largest monastery of this region and it is also the center of culture and tradition.

                  It is the day to appreciate the culture, tradition, language, and lifestyle of the Tsum region. Peaks of Nepal and Tibet demand your full attention especially Ganesh Himal. Another popular destination over here is the base camp of Pika Peak. Spend the night here at Mu Gompa.

                    Retracing the journey of Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek 18 days starts from today. Following the downwards journey along with Shiyar Khola will lead you to Burgi village.

                    Burgi is a small but beautiful village full of nomadic lifestyles. It was really an unbelievable moment to see these kinds of lifestyles. Further climbing above the village you will reach Milarepa cave. It is the place where you can see unexpectedly gorgeous glimpses of Poshyop Glacier and Kipu Himal. You will return back overnight at Burgi village.

                      After breakfast, you will follow the path that will take you to Chhokang Paro. Continuing downwards you will reach the beautiful and cultivated land of Chumling. You will spend your night in this beautiful village of Chumling. The total trek can be completed in 5 to 6 hours.

                        It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Philim from Chumling. Crossing the suspension bridge over the Shiyar River though the zigzag trails will lead you to Pine forests. Leaving behind all the beautiful Pine and Rhododendron forests you will follow the Budhi Gandaki to view Samba waterfall. A little further from roaring Samba waterfall you will reach the village of Philim. You will stay in Philim village today.

                          Continuous descending along the side of Budhi Gandaki River will take you to Jagat. You will follow the down way path of stone steps through the Yaruphant to reach Tatopani. It is a natural hot water spring that helps to relax your body. Your overnight will be at Khorla Besi so continue to walk until you reach there.

                            Today you will cross the suspension bridge to reach the villages of Khanibesi, Lapubesi, and MachhaKhola. You will walk through the rocky trails alongside Budhi Gandaki. After successive descending, you will reach a beautiful forest that will take you to Seti Khola.

                              Remember the soti khola at the beginning of the journey? You will reach there today to end the journey. This will be your final walk in the voyage of Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek 18 Days. This journey ends only after 7 to 8 hours.

                              Passing through Mangaltar, Arkhet Khola you will reach the beautiful village of Arughat. From there you will drive back to Kathmandu.

                                Final Departure of Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek 18 Days is today. One of our members will take you to the airport and receive your final goodbye to Nepal.
