Langtang region is located on the north of the Kathmandu valley, bounded up by the Langtang National Park. It is a home of several species of flora and fauna, including snow leopard and red panda. Rhododendron, oak, juniper and hemlock forests are dotted on the trails.  The park has spread in an area of 1,710 sq. km. Langtang region treks are popular to explore the Tamang ethnic communities, holy Lakes, Sherpa valleys and the breathtaking Himalayan views .

In Langtang region, Langtang valley, Langtang Gosaikunda and Langtang Circuit are popular trips. The treks go through the Tamang ethnic communities. Various Gompas, Chhortens and Mani walls display the artistic and spiritual features of the Langtang region. Langtang valley is located below the Langtang glacier. It was described as the most beautiful valley in the world by the famous British mountaineer Bill Tillman. Gosaikunda Lake is a culturally significant destination. It is surrounded by other Lakes. Syaphrubesi is the gateway of Langtang treks. The highest point among these three treks is Lauribina pass that connects the Gosaikunda and Helambu valley.  The Tibetan Buddhists’ cultural impact can be seen in the Tamang and Sherpa valleys.
