Kathmandu/Chisapani/Nargarkot trial trek

I was in Nepal in March/April this year, and I wanted to do a trial trek to test my fitness and give my muscles a good workout before heading for the Everest region. I also wanted to explore some of the hills around Kathmandu. I have a poor sense of direction and there are lots of paths, so I decided I needed guiding. I booked a trek with a guide called Bibek. It was a good, varied three days, taking in interesting paths, villages and views, and sunrise and sunset over the mountains seen from Chisapani and Nargarkot were beautiful. The route goes a bit above 2000 metres, so there are no altitude issues, but plenty of up and downhill walking. Bibek is a really nice guy and very good company. He is a thoughtful person and happy to talk, but also left me plenty of space. He was aware of my fitness goals and gently helped me achieve them. I hope to trek with him again. I also ended up in good shape for walking into Solu-Khumbu, and got to test out my boots and other equipment before the main trek. Walking in Nepal is so memorable:- lower down you see lush nature and numerous different ways of life, and higher up you get the stunning mountain views. I’ll be back.

Superb Experience

Our guide Raj and porter Sandip were excellent. They were flexible with our plans and extremely accommodating while we were trekking and while we were hanging around our lodges. I would highly recommend trekking with Raj or Sandip at the helm.

Hiking in Nepal

I was doing Annapurna Circuit for the first time in my life and have been a bit reluctant because of the fact that at the time I wanted to start, it was off season. It was because of this that I decided to make this tour with a guide and my choice was „Adventure Bound“ because of a recommendation I received from German couple. I was really pleased by the way the agency handled this and moreover, I had a great guide Raj, who was knowledgeable and did everything to accommodate me and because of his open-mindedness, we had much fun with other travelers.I would definitely recommend Adventure Bound and especially Raj for doing Trekking in the Himalaya! You‘re in good hands.

Amazing experience

Went to Nepal and did th Poon Hill / Ghorepani Trek in end may of 2018. The company organising the tour was very proactive, and did everything to Ensure that we have a pleasant experience. Special mention to the guide, who went above and beyond to cater to our comfort, and to accommodate our preferences. The trek itself was enjoyable, and we managed to see decent views despite it being the monsoon season. The good thing about doing the trek at this time was that there were very few people, and that’a something that has its own charm. However, I recommend that this trek still be done during the actual trekking season, as that’s when the views are the best.

Great Trek!

We did the Poonhill trek with guide Raj Silwal and had a great trip. Except excellent hiking, beautiful nature and good weather we really enjoyed to company of our guide Raj. He was funny, polite, had a lot of knowledge about culture, nature, animals and traditions and we felt he was always doing a little extra to give us the ultimate experience. Nepal is amazing and we are definitely coming back to do more treks with you! Best regards, Nina and Christine from Norway :-)

Amazing Tour :)

We booked the Annapurna Circuit Tour with 16 days trekking. After our arrival we got a briefing with the schedule for the following days and first met our guide Santosh. At the hotel in Kathmandu we could leave a bag with stuff we wouldn’t need during the trek. The whole trip had an itinerary which was still flexible regarding the daily amount of trekking-hours, so we could adjust to the weather and our personal strength. Santosh always had very good suggestions regarding the length of trekking per day as well as for the places to stay at. He also was looking out for us and we had a lot of nice chats during the time. He knows his country and culture well and has a lot of answers to any question that might pop up. If you find anything he doesn’t know, he will google it for you ;) Narayan was our porter and always in a good mood, especially for a round of cards in the evening. With Santosh and Narayan you are in pretty good hands. They care a lot about your happiness and well being. Thank you so much for the good time! David & Alex

Everest Base Camp Trek

I can’t say enough good things about this trip, and the Adventure Bound company. Laxman waited at the airport for me, in spite of a delayed flight, and organized two days of reasonably priced tours in Kathmandu. Our guide, Om, was incredibly nice, and really knowledgable about the mountains and culture. He made sure that we were eating and drinking enough, and that we had a good room to stay in at night. Our porter, Bhim, was friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed his company. Buy the end of the trip, they both felt like family.I think the best testament to this company, was the way they handled things when I became sick. Om and Laxman arranged for a helicopter to transport my daughter and I to the international hospital in Kathmandu. While I was admitted, they both came to see how I was doing, and Laxman not only picked us up at discharge, but also arranged for transportation to a follow up appointment.I felt that he went above and beyond what most travel companies would do, and I was really grateful for the support. My travel insurance was from a company in Austria, so I’m sure communication with Nepali and German accents was not easy for him!I give 5 stars to these guys!
